- Skibbereen Flower and Garden Club are holding a teaching demonstration with Eileen O'Brien, Kinsale in Abbeystrewry Hall on Wednesday, October 9 at 8.15pm.
- Macroom Flower and Garden Club will host a gardening talk on Thursday, October 10, in Coolcower House at 8pm by a speaker from Green Piece Nurseries. Visitors welcome.
- Kinsale Garden and Flower Club meets on Thursday, October 10 at 8pm St Multose Hall, Kinsale. Raymond Higgins, from The National Vegetable Association will give a talk titled: 'Getting the best from your Vegetable Plot'.
- Clonakilty Flower Club will hold its next meeting on Monday, October 14 at 8pm, in Clonakilty GAA Complex, Ahamilla, Clonakilty. The demonstrator for the night is Ann Hester of AOIFA. All are welcome.
- Airfield Estate, the 38-acre Sustainable Food Hub and Farm based in Dundrum, Dublin is hosting a special event, Cultivating Storytelling: A Gathering of Growers on Monday, October 14 from 11am to 3pm.
- Community growers are invited to celebrate and share the positive impact allotments and community gardens play during National Allotments and Community Gardens Week. This year the second National Allotments and Community Gardens Week takes place from October 12 to 19. The theme for this year is Healthy Soil and Community Gardens Ireland hopes that allotments, community gardens, school gardens, tidy towns, and local growers throughout Ireland will get involved.
