Neptune star Jordan Blount's season is over after the Ireland international confirmed he has suffered a break to his foot in training.
Blount missed last weekend's defeat by Sligo as Neptune's playoff hopes were ended by a comprehensive 126-98 defeat.
It means Friday night's derby with Irish Guide Dogs Ballincollig @MTU is academic for Neptune and Blount confirmed on his Instagram that injury will keep him out of the game.
He posted: "Unfortunately won't be playing this weekend after breaking my foot in practice. See you guys next year."
Blount was named as Ireland vice-captain ahead of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 European pre-qualifiers but Ireland's next fixture in the competition isn't slated until November against Azerbaijan.
