Westmeath's John Heslin has announced his retirement from inter-county football.
32-year-old Heslin retires having been a key member of the Westmeath senior football team since his debut in 2011.
The St Loman's clubman became Westmeath's all-time leading championship scorer - surpassing Dessie Dolan - in the Tailteann Cup final over Cavan in 2022. The classy inside forward also played a leading role in the county's Division Two success in 2019.
Mullingar native Heslin - a Sigerson Cup winner with UCD - made more than 150 appearances for Westmeath, while he also spent a brief number of months in the AFL with Richmond back in 2012.
A statement on his retirement read: "Westmeath GAA would like to formally acknowledge the retirement of John Heslin, one of the most exceptional and dedicated players ever to represent our county.
