Paul Casey and Derek Murray are set to be ratified as joint-managers of the Dublin ladies football team during a specially convened online meeting of the county board on Wednesday evening.
Casey, an All-Ireland winner with the Dublin men's team in 2011, had a 10-year inter-county career. The Lucan Sarsfields man had been part of Mick Bohan's backroom team as a selector and defensive coach since 2018.
Murray, from the Round Towers Clondalkin club, also played inter-county football with Dublin. He won an All-Ireland U21 title in 2003 along with three Leinster senior titles and had been part of the Dublin set-up since 2022.
Bohan stepped down as Dublin manager in November after a hugely successful second term which saw the county win five All-Ireland titles, including four in a row between 2017 and 2020. In 2024, Dublin were knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the championship by Galway, a year after winning what players and management considered to be a surprise All-Ireland title.
Additional members of Casey and Murray's backroom team will be confirmed at a later date.
