Costello's redemption helps Dunshaughlin end 22 years of hurt with Meath title. ClickLoughmore-Castleiney have completed the Tipperary double for an incredible third time in 11 years by dethroning Clonmel Commercials in the football final.
Just seven days after claiming the hurling title, and 24 hours after their second team annexed the Premier Junior football crown, they held out against the wind for a 0-11 to 0-7 success.
10 minutes and five seconds is how long it has taken Imokilly to undo Sars' opening half gale supported efforts. Two minutes further on and Imokilly have taken the lead. Uphill challenge from here for the reigning champions.
Daniel Hogan has just brought them level, only their third point of the half after 13 minutes of second half action.
Superb Timmy Wilk hit on Aaron Myers to throw the Sars forward off his goal charge. A green flag would certainly do Sars no harm after Imokilly have wasted no time in eradicating their first half body of work. All over in Meath and Dunshaughlin are champions. The club have won their first Meath SFC title since 2002, a 60th minute goal from county man Mathew Costello proving the difference in a 2-7 to 1-8 win over Wolfe Tones. Costello had earlier misplaced a free in defence, leading to a Wolfe Tones goal which was scored by ex-county star Cian Ward. Dunshaughlin last won the title in 2002 when they went on to win the Leinster championship.
Full-time in the Antrim SHC final and it's Cushendall who have finished top of the pile once more. Neil McManus led the way as his side edged a tight encounter with Dunloy.
