Golf's Amgen Irish Open has been confirmed for September 4-7th next year at the K Club in the DP World Tour's 2025 schedule of events.
The Irish Open will form part of the 'Back 9’ events next autumn as players close in on the season-ending DP World Tour Play-Offs in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It will also return to The K Club in 2027.
The return of the Austrian and Turkish Opens, as well as a host of new tournament venues, headline the 2025 DP World Tour global schedule.
The Open Championship returns to Portrush from July 17-20, the three other majors being The Masters from April 10-13, the USPGA at Quail Hollow on May 15-18, and the US Open at Oakmont from June 12-15th.
There will be a minimum of 42 Race to Dubai tournaments in at least 26 different countries for a record total prize fund of $153 million, not including the Majors.
The Turkish Open, which will be played at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort from May 8-11, marks the DP World Tour’s return to Turkey for the first time in six years.
Also on the calendar in 2025 are two team match play contests – the Team Cup, which takes place at Abu Dhabi Golf Club from January 10-12 – and the 2025 Ryder Cup, with Luke Donald’s European side attempting to retain the trophy against Keegan Bradley’s US team at Bethpage Black in New York, from September 26-28.
Meanwhile, amateur Max Kennedy is still in the hunt for a DP World Tour card after the fifth round of Q-School final stage in Spain.
Starting on the 10th at the Lakes Course at Infinitum Golf, the Dubliner was two-over par for his round at the turn, but battled back with four birdies to card a two-under 69, leaving him tied 42nd on 10-under overall. The top 20 and ties will be awarded tour cards after Wednesday's final round. The mark currently stands at 14-under so Kennedy will need a low score to be in the hunt.
Play was suspended at 3.50pm local time due to lightning with a number of players yet to finish, including leader Edoardo Molinari, who sits at 24-under-par.
