Connacht's Dave Heffernan and Ulster's Nathan Doak have been called into Andy Farrell's squad replacing the injured Dan Sheehan and Craig Casey ahead of their second Test against South Africa in Durban on Saturday.
Following medical assessments after the first Test against the Springboks the Ireland management confirm that neither Casey (concussion) or Sheehan (left knee injury) will play any further part in the Summer series.
Heffernan and Doak have linked up with the squad in Durban and there will be a further medical update later in the week.
