The primary aim of the Advance Centre is to provide short, flexible, and industry-aligned courses and to provide learners with highly specialised, fully accredited and quality-assured upskilling opportunities at university level. It is aimed at professional learners seeking to upskill in a flexible and cost-effective way with options ranging from individual modules and microcredentials up to full programmes. A key goal of the Centre is to support upskilling for professional learners seeking flexible study options alongside full-time students. And it offers a wide range of industry-relevant, QQI-accredited options (QQI Levels 6-9) in digital transformation.
The majority of courses are delivered online or blended, with courses designed and taught by our leading university partners and academic faculty in UCD, Atlantic Technological University (ATU) and TU Dublin. The accredited courses are highly relevant to the evolving and changing needs of the workplace, covering a vast area of digital transformation in data science, manufacturing, cyber security, health and medicine, engineering, finance and much more.
The array of short, flexible, and industry-aligned courses not only allow learners to upskill in highly specialised areas, but they also earn credits in the form of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) which are globally recognised all over the world.
Upskilling in the area of digital transformation can provide numerous benefits to your career, given the rapidly evolving technological landscape and the increasing importance of digital technologies in various industries. This includes enhanced employability, career advancement, increased earning potential along with the opportunity to future proof your career.
There are so many flexible ways to study, and Advance Centre is here to help and guide you through the process. The model of not having to commit to a full degree and having the option to choose short modules and microcredentials makes the decision to return to learning much easier and more manageable as you can study part-time and balance your studies with other commitments. You also have the option to use what you have learned towards recognition of prior learning towards other programmes you may wish to pursue in the future.
There has never been a better time to return to education as the offerings by the Advance Centre are so heavily aligned to the changing and evolving needs of business and industry and multi-sector applicable. Our flexible study options allow learners to upskill in an agile and cost-effective way, especially since the introduction of the HCI Pillar 3 learner fee subsidy, which allows learners to avail of an up to 80 per cent discount on course fees.
