On Thursday night, Páirc Uí Chaoimh once again hosted to Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band as they perform the third of their four Irish gigs this year.
It was Springsteen's first time back in Cork since he played in the old Páirc Uí Chaoimh in 2013, just weeks before the stadium regeneration began.
While the sun was shining on that occasion, those hoping to be Dancing in the Dark tonight were at risk of rain and thunderstorms.
Met Éíreann issued a status yellow thunderstorm warning for Cork from 3pm until 8pm on Thursday. The forecaster said heavy downpours with thunderstorms and hail can be expected.
As is the case with most Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band gigs, there was no support act.
