An investigation is underway after several waste collection trucks and a car were destroyed by fire in an industrial estate on the outskirts of Cork city.
The alarm was raised at around 6.30pm and four units of Cork City Fire Brigade rushed to the scene at the Sarsfield Court Industrial Estate in Glanmire.
Five waste collection trucks which had been parked close to the Greenstar waste management facility were ablaze.
A car which had been parked nearby was also alight.
Fire fighters managed to bring the blazes under control quickly, preventing the fires from spreading to adjoining industrial units.
The damage was limited to the six vehicles.
No injuries have been reported.
Gardaí are now at the scene as they try to establish the cause of the blazes.
