As the Elf on the Shelf gets ready for one last appearance, the first and second class pupils of St Finn Barre’s National School are very excited about what is on their Santa wishlist — everything from Barbies, to slime, robot dogs, and Lego, and a few surprises thrown in. And all are clear on the one thing they do not want on Christmas Day — Brussels sprouts.
I’m going to get a robot dog, loads of playing slime and loads of Barbies and a Barbie house and real cats.
I’ve an elf called Bob. He once helped my cat do a poo.
My mom was thinking of giving us Brussel sprouts every day for Christmas, I don’t like them.
On Christmas day, we put on decorations and make it look very Christmassy and we do Christmas photos. My mom has a matching jumper.
Before, my other sister in a different country was coming for Christmas, but this year it will be different.
I’m getting Sylvanians, a Barbie closet, a few surprises and generation dolls.
I haven’t asked my mom what we’re having for dinner yet.
We make room for all the presents we get and we also do some Christmas photos.
I’m getting earrings.
I have an elf. He’s called Elfrid. Yesterday, he was on our pull-up bar so we couldn’t do pull-ups and today he’s on a painting.
Usually I have Christmas dinner with my nana, but she says she’s going shopping for Christmas dinner but she doesn’t know what to get. The kids usually have chicken nuggets or pizza and the grown-ups would have turkey or chicken and Brussel sprouts and all of that.
I’m getting a Lego set, because I get a Lego set every Christmas.
Our elf doesn’t have a name. Today, he took a bunch of decorations off the tree.
We normally have expensive ham for Christmas, because all ham is expensive. I like the ham.
Well my mom said I can get up at 6, even if she’s not awake, I can go down and open presents.
I would like a few books and some pens, because I don’t have that much.
We’ll probably have chips or roasted potatoes for Christmas.
My elf doesn’t move anymore because my mom touched him.
I’ll wake up at 5 and then I’m going to take a sneaky peek at the presents.
I’m getting four stuff, and I forgot it all. Santa will probably know.
We’ll have roasted potatoes. I like turkey as well.
We have three elves. Today, they were on the Christmas tree but I think the funniest thing they did was get my chocolate bar and eat it.
My elf has a nail in its foot so he’s probably trying to get revenge on me.
I sort of like watching the
s movie at home.
My mom doesn’t like turkey so we’re going to have chicken for Christmas dinner.
I have three elves at home. One of them is called Bob, Jeremy and Jeff.
I have proof that Santa does exist. One time I was in the closet with my brother and we set up cameras and loads of traps, and we caught Santa on camera.
I stay awake on Christmas Eve. I sleep on the couch with my dad or make a cushion fort and I open my presents at around 7.
I’ll have turkey for Christmas dinner.
I have elves — I called one Mob, Jimmy, Jeff and Bod. Once, Mob fell in the toilet.
On Christmas Day, I’ll go to the beach and swim in the cold water.
I’m getting a Nintendo Switch and Mario Kart.
We usually have turkey for dinner, we don’t have any dessert.
I might get up at 3 to open my presents. I won’t be tired.
I’ll just try stay up on Christmas Day and play with my toys.
I’m getting a robot dog and I also asked for a polar bear teddy.
I’ve no idea what we’re having for Christmas dinner. My mom just buys lots of sweets and we might have ice cream for dinner or something.
We open presents and then we eat pancakes on Christmas Day.
I don’t have an elf. My mom won’t let me, sadly.
I’m getting a keyboard for Christmas.
We usually play with our toys and then go to our nana's house for dinner.
My elf is called Sparkle. She’s a nice elf.
Maybe we’ll get up at 7 or something to open presents because my mom’s very lazy.
I will get surprises and maybe a Hello Kitty.
I don’t know what I’ll have for dinner because I’ll go to Spain.
I will go to three different houses because I’ve grannies and two dads. All of my family live in Spain.
I’ll open my presents and go to my dad's house and open my presents and then go to my granny's house.
I have an elf called Bookie. I have three elves — two bad ones and one good. One time my dad was cooking he made a cookie and went to bed and the elf went on the cookie so we couldn’t eat it.
I do not know what I’m getting yet, probably surprises. I didn’t write my letter yet.
I might get up at 5 or 4 to open my presents.
I’ll eat cake and mince pies, no Brussel sprouts.
I’m getting a turbo tank from Lego Star Wars Clone Wars.
One time, I actually found one of the carrots the reindeers ate. It looked like a worm bite.
The turbo tank that I’m getting has some really, really, really good shields. It’ll take a long time to build, definitely.
We have an elf, he’s just called Elfie and he never, ever, ever moves. He literally stays under the Christmas tree, he can’t see me.
We left some carrots out for Santa last Christmas so we’ll probably do that again, and maybe a big bowl of water.
I watch Christmas movies. I like
. Is that the one where they break into the house? I like that one.Instead of a star on top of the tree we do an angel and it was my turn to put on the angel this year, but my elf was literally where the angel goes so we had to wait for him to move.
I’m getting a tractor and more Pokemon cards I like mince pies. We get them every year.
I’ll build all my Lego and play with my presents on Christmas Day. I like watching the Grinch. I’m usually too busy building Lego to watch it.
I’m probably going to get up at 7 o’clock to open my presents. It’ll probably take me until lunchtime to build my Lego because I’m very quick at building it.
Also, my sister doesn’t even know how to build her Lego so I’ve to help her every year. She’s 6.
I can only have one thing from Santa and it's gonna be a robot dog.
I might watch a Christmas movie on Christmas. I like the
.I’m from Poland so I kind of have different food, and I’ve never tried turkey.
I have three elves. I don’t really name them. They’re kind of naughty.
I’m getting a Lego set and a remote-control car.
I have an elf called Rascal. He does a lot of funny things.
For some reason, one day he tried to start the car. He was just there in the car with the car keys. The bad thing was, it was my grandad's car.
I’m probably going to get up at 1 in the morning to open my presents.
I’m getting lots of art stuff. I don’t know what I’ll make.
I’m going to play with toys all day and until schooltime, all winter break.
I’ll probably get up at one in the morning to open presents.
Santa’s bringing me a laser shooting duck game.
We’ll have lots of junk food, probably.
I’ll be getting up at like 5 in the morning and playing with my toys. Maybe I will get up at zero in the morning. I don’t wake my parents up, I just go run downstairs. They’ll probably meet me down there at 7.
I have an elf called Bagu. Once, he actually climbed into my bread and then when we cut the bread, we cut his body. So then we had to stitch him back together, he’s okay now.
I’m getting a surprise and a harmonica. I don’t know how to play it yet.
We’ve to wait for everybody to get up and my dad takes forever to get up, so it takes a long time to get our presents.
I don’t like Brussel sprouts. I like cabbage.
We have two elves. One's called Maddie and the other is called Snoop Dog. Last year, we had four but they left us. Snoop Dog came this year, we didn’t have him last year.
For the nativity, we got a star costume for someone and today the elves hopped into the star costume.
We leave out milk and cookies but Rocco, my older brother, wants to leave out beer and Coke for Santa this year so we might.
