A man in his 30s has died after being struck by a car in Co Clare.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision involving a car and a pedestrian, which happened in Kilkee at approximately 6.20pm on Thursday evening.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was fatally injured in the incident.
No other injuries were reported.
Gardaí say the local coroner has been notified, and arrangements will now be made for an autopsy.
The road where the collision occurred will remain closed overnight and a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will be completed on Friday.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses.
Any road users who may have camera footage and who were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available.
