Three people have been arrested in connection with the seizure of €7,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs during searches in Cork on Tuesday.
The operation, led by the Cork Crime Office and supported by Gardaí, took place as part of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime in the Cork region.
Mobile phones and suspected cocaine were among the items seized during the course of the searches.
The drugs seized will now be subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland, a Garda spokesperson said.
The Armed Support Unit, the Garda Dog Unit, Divisional Search Units, and specialist regional units also took part in the searches.
A woman and two men, all aged in their 30s, were arrested and are currently detained pursuant to Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007, at Garda Stations in the County Cork area.
“Investigations are ongoing,” a Garda spokesperson said.
