A stash of suspected cocaine with a street value of €90,000 which was seized at a house in Togher is to be forensically examined.

The man accused of charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act in relation to the seizure is due back in court on March 24, 2025.

The lengthy adjournment is to allow time for the forensic analysis which is necessary in the case.

On November 3, Detective Garda Emmet Long and Garda Bryan English of Togher Drugs Unit executed a search warrant granted under the Misuse of Drugs Act to allow for the search of 57 Lower Pouladuff Road, Togher, Cork.

Gardaí searched the bedroom of 27-year-old Robert Higgins who was the target of the search and they allegedly found approximately €90,000 worth of suspected cocaine on a shelf in the bedroom.

Robert Higgins was subsequently arrested by Det Garda Emmet Long and taken to Togher Garda Station. He was brought before Cork District Court on charges arising out of the investigation.

The main charge against him is one of possession of cocaine for the purpose of selling or otherwise supplying to others on November 3 at Lower Pouladuff Road.
