A man has been arrested following the seizure of €35,000 worth of cannabis and amphetamine in Youghal on Saturday.
As part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the region, gardaí from the Cork County Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a search under warrant of a residence in the town.
During the search, they discovered and seized the drugs.
A quantity of cash and paraphernalia suspected of being used in the preparation of drugs for sale and supply were also seized.
All the substances seized are subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene. He is currently being held at a Garda station in Co Cork under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
A garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
