Man arrested over 2022 fatal Dublin shooting

A man has been arrested as part of a garda investigation into a fatal shooting in Dublin in December 2022.

34-year-old Cormac Berkeley was shot and seriously injured as he sat in a car in the driveway of his home in Harelawn Park in Neilstown in Clondalkin on the evening of Monday, December 5, 2022.

He was treated at the scene by gardaí and emergency services personnel, but he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí confirmed they had arrested a man on Monday morning as part of the investigation into the shooting.

The arrested man, who is aged in his 30s, is currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007, at a garda station in Dublin.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident.
