Gardaí have launched a murder investigation following death of woman in Co Roscommon.
The woman, who has been formally identified as Mirjana Pap, was the subject of a garda missing person's appeal over the weekend.
The appeal was stood down after a body was found on land at Curraghaleen, near Athlone, on Monday afternoon.
Gardaí formally launched a murder investigation on Tuesday night.
Earlier on Tuesday, gardaí carried out a search on a house in Athlone, and seized two cars for examination.
An autopsy, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons, was also carried out on Tuesday by the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Yvonne McCarthy at Galway University Hospital.
Gardaí say they are following a definite line of enquiry.
The investigation is being led from the incident room at Athlone Garda Station by members of the Crime Functional Area in the Meath Westmeath Division under a Senior Investigating Officer (SIO), with assistance from the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI).
Investigating gardaí have urged anyone with information on Ms Parp's death to come forward.
A spokesperson said gardaí are particularly interested in tracing the movements of a silver 08-G registered Peugeot 207 on Saturday, December 28, and Sunday, December 29 between 11am and midday.
Gardaí believe this vehicle travelled from Beechville estate in Athlone onto the N6 west bound from junction 11 to junction 13, before continuing on the R362 from Monksland to Bealnaulla.
Any motorists who travelled along these routes within this timeframe have been asked to get in touch with gardaí.
Anyone with any information should contact Athlone Garda Station on 090 649 8550, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
"The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow," the spokesperson added.
