The man arrested in connection with the fatal hit-and-run which killed two people and injured two others on St Stephen's Day has been charged.
Georgina and Anto Hogg died when the car involved hit them when they were crossing a road at Dublin’s Blanchardstown Shopping Centre with their daughter Becky and another pedestrian.
They were on their way to their home in the nearby Whitestown estate at the time.
The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested in the following days.
He has since been charged and will appear in court on Monday morning.
A second individual, a woman, has also been arrested.
Nearly €23,000 has been donated towards a €40,000 fund for the children of Mr Hogg and Ms Hogg Moore.
While Georgina Hogg Moore, 39, died at the scene, her 40-year-old husband died the following day.
A number plate found at the scene led gardaí to a car suspected of having been involved in the incident.
As of 10.30am this morning, 801 people had donated to the GoFundMe page created to help provide for the future of the children of the “cherished parents” - Ryan and Becky.
It is hoped that the money will “ensure they have the care, resources, and opportunities their parents would have wanted for them”.
The organisers have said: “While nothing can replace the love and presence of Georgina and Anto, we hope to ease the financial burden and create a foundation for their children to thrive.
“Georgina and Anto were not just cherished parents, but also incredible individuals who touched the lives of everyone they met.
“They were always the first to lend a helping hand, to support others without hesitation, and to spread kindness wherever they went.
“Their beautiful children, Ryan and Becky, have been left without their loving Mam and Dad. As a community, we are rallying together to ensure that Ryan and Becky are supported during this unimaginable time.”
