Would-be ghouls, ghosts, goblins and monsters preparing to knock on doors across the country will be pleased to learn that Halloween night looks set to provide ideal weather conditions for trick-or-treating.
According to Met Éireann, October 31 will be a mostly dry and mostly cloudy day, with some sunny spells with temperatures of around 13C to 16C expected.
Conditions will stay dry in most areas into Halloween night, with temperatures falling back to around 7C to 11C with light southwesterly breezes.
As for Tuesday, mist and fog will clear by late morning, giving way to a largely dry day, though there will spots of light rain or drizzle in the west and northwest.

Highest temperatures on Tuesday will range from 13C to 15C with light westerly or variable breezes.
By tonight, conditions will have become cloudy across Connacht, Ulster and north Leinster, though it will be somewhat clearer in the south and east. Temperatures tonight will fall back to around 7C to 11C in light southwest breezes.
Wednesday looks set to be a mostly dry day, with some lighter drizzle possible in certain areas. Most of the country will enjoy some sunshine however, especially the south and east. Temperatures Wednesday will range from 14C to 16C.
By Wednesday night, temperatures will drip down to around 8C to 11C amid a mostly dry and cloudy night. Met Éireann also says there is a chance of mist anf fog patches developing in some areas.
Friday, like Thursday, will also be dry with good sunny spells. By the mid-afternoon, some light rain will have started to move in from the northwest, but most counties are set to enjoy a pleasant day overall. Top temperatures on Friday will range from 13 to 15C in light to moderate southwesterly winds, fresher near northern and western coasts.
At this stage, Friday night is expected to also be mostly dry and cloudy overnight, with some limited clear spells. Lowest temperatures Friday will range from 6C to 10C. Again, there is a change of some mist and fog patches forming overnight.
