Gardaí continues to appeal to drivers to comply with speed limits to reduce the number of speed-related collisions, to save lives and reduce injuries on our roads.
The operation comes as schools across the country return, which will see additional traffic on the roads.
Gardaí are urging motorists to be aware of others especially younger, vulnerable road users.
They added that any "increase in speed will significantly increase the likelihood of being involved in a serious or fatal road traffic collision".
184 people lost their lives in 173 fatal collisions on Irish roads last year, an increase of 19% in 2022.
This year, 126 people have already lost their lives in crashes.
Additionally, over 70,000 fixed charge notices were issued to drivers driving over the speed limit up to the end of June this year.
This equates to over 375 drivers receiving a notice every day.
