A woman in her 80s has died after she was struck by a lorry in Co Donegal on Friday afternoon.
Gardaí remain at the scene of the collision, which happened on Church Street in the village of St Johnson shortly after 2pm.
She was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.
The local coroner has been notified and her body will be taken to the mortuary at Letterkenny Hospital where an autopsy will be conducted.
The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
The road is currently closed pending an examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and local diversions are in place. The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has also been notified.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses.
Any road users with camera footage who were in the vicinity of St Johnston around time of the collision are asked to make this footage available to the investigating gardaí.
