More than 7,000 college courses offers will be made by the Central Applications Office (CAO) on Thursday.
The Round Zero offerings will go to graduate entry medicine applicants; additional mature, deferred and access applicants; and applicants presenting for consideration for entry to courses which have a quota for QQI FET/FETAC applicants.
7,083 offers will be issued to 5,370 applicants who fall under that criteria. The offers will be available to view online from 10am.
Successful applicants will also receive an email and a text message (if they have selected this option) with details of their offer.
This year there were 4,497 Level 8 offers and 2,585 Level 7/6 offers issued in Round Zero.
The reply date by which applicants must accept their offer is 13 August at 3pm.
Speaking about the offer process, CAO head of communications Eileen Keleghan said: “We urge mature, deferred, graduate entry medicine, and access applicants to log in to their CAO accounts today to check if they have received a Round Zero offer.
“QQI FET/FETAC applicants who applied for a course with a quota for QQI FET applicants should also check their account. To ascertain whether your course is a QQI quota course, go to www.cao.ie/qqisearch and search the entry requirements section.
“Offers must be accepted by 3 pm on Tuesday next, 13 August. Failure to accept an offer by the reply date will result in the offer being cancelled” she added.
This is the second round of offers made by the CAO after 'Round A' in July, which went to deferred applicants from previous years; mature applicants; mature nursing/midwifery applicants and some graduate entry pathways.
In total 13,460 offers have been issued by the CAO in Round A and Round Zero to a total of 10,375 applicants.
Round One offers which contain Leaving Certificate students, will be issued on Wednesday August 28. Round Two offers will be available to view online from September 9 at 2pm.
