A male pedestrian has died after being struck by a lorry in Co Donegal.
Gardaí are currently at the scene of the collision, which occurred on the R245 at Magheranan in Letterkenny shortly before 6am on Friday morning.
The pedestrian, who is aged in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to the mortuary in University Hospital Letterkenny where an autopsy will take place in due course. The lorry driver was uninjured in the collision.
The road is currently closed pending a technical examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions have been put in place.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses.
Any road users with camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were travelling on the R245 at Magheranan in Letterkenny between the hours of 5am and 6am this morning have been asked to make this footage available.

Late on Wednesday night, a man in his 40s died after a multi-car collision on the M4 Westbound at Junction 8 Kilcock, Co Kildare. No other injuries were reported.
The deaths bring to 43 the number of people killed on Irish roads so far this year.
