Anti-war protesters are making their voices heard in Castletownbere in Co Cork this afternoon.
The group of protesters have travelled from surrounding counties to demonstrate against the presence of a US Navy destroyer in the harbour.
They claim the USS Sullivan is the centrepiece of a US Navy propaganda exercise, intended to strengthen military links with Ireland.
The ship is in west Cork as part of a commemorative event for five men killed during a World War II naval battle in the Pacific.
Dominic Carroll of the "Clonakilty Against War" group said: "There's a lot of anger. People are determined to make the voice of opposition heard".
