Croatia, Denmark, and Finland have the cleanest coastal and inland bathing waters in Europe, according to a new study from European travel company Plitvice Lakes Tours.
Croatia, alongside Greece and Malta, also have the best beaches, their bathing water quality data having been analysed by the European Environment Agency.
Croatia’s beaches score highest for clean water, followed by Denmark, Finland, Estonia and Italy. Austria, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, and Malta complete the top 10 cleanest bathing waters in Europe.
The early bird catches the worm, and judging by a new survey conducted by Click&Go Holidays, 51% of Ireland’s holidaymakers intend to book their 2025 holiday by the end of December this year.
Of those surveyed, 17% have already booked, with people paying an average of 8% more than 2024, driven by an 11% increase in accommodation and a 7% hike in airfares.
