This will be a welcome treat for fans who still miss the convenience and chill atmosphere at Tribes on Tuckey Street: independent coffee shops across Cork city are set to be transformed into vibrant social hubs after hours as part of a new citywide initiative.

‘Coffee House Lates’ is an initiative running as part of the Night-Time Economy Strategy for Cork city and will see participating coffee shops open late and host unique events for people seeking an pub-alternative evening out in the city.

Upcoming events as part of the Coffee House Lates initiative have been announced, with everything from coffee tasting to live music, comedy, art, dancing, festive shopping, festive treats and knitting taking place at participating businesses.

Here’s a taste of what’s brewing as part of Coffee House Lates on Thursday, November 28 and Friday. November 29.

Street Deli At Festive Douglas On Nádúr Get

Thursday, November 28 from 6pm to 9pm

Nádúr Deli at Nano Nagle Place is hosting an evening of live jazz by Jonathon Murray, a festive ferments demo by Ivo from Terra Ignis and complementary spiced mulled apple with every purchase.

The coffee shop will also serve its menu of tasty plates, speciality pastries, Bean + Goose hot chocolates, house chai and West Cork Coffee organic coffee.

Visitors are also invited to stroll through the Nano Nagle Place shop and browse for unique and thoughtful gifts on the evening.
