A 34-acre farm in North Cork is new to the market with Charleville-based Ted Sheehan Auctioneers and already under offer.
The property is in Tulligmcthomas, about 5km northwest of the village of Dromcolliher in Co Limerick and the same distance from Feohanagh. It is roughly midway between the N20 and the N21, just over 20km west of the market town of Charleville.
The area is dominated by a busy dairy sector, supplemented by beef cattle, and other farming activities. According to the selling agent, most of the interest has been local.
“It’s good land, and it has been very well-maintained. There isn’t a lot of land coming up in this area, so we’re not surprised that it’s already under offer,” Mr Sheehan says.
The holding — laid out in one regular block with good road frontage — does not have any outbuildings and is all in grass. It was part of a larger holding that included the land and buildings across the road, Mr Sheehan says.
Meanwhile, the price expectation is in the region of €12,000 per acre — a figure that is very much in keeping with land prices in the immediate area.
