This year’s FTMTA Farm Machinery Show offers a first chance to see some of the most exciting agricultural innovations set to launch on the Irish market.
The show, which takes place at Punchestown Racecourse from Tuesday, November 12 to Thursday, November 14, is considered the Irish showcase for farm machinery specialists to display tractors, harvesters and tillage equipment, as well as now also autonomous farm technology.
Among the highlights visitors can expect to see next week, McHale (Stand B01) will present its new F5 range of Fixed Chamber Balers at Punchestown, namely: the F5-540 Non-Chopper Bailer, the F5-550 (15 Knife-Chopper) Semi-Automatic Baler, the F5-560 (25 Knife Chopper) Fully Automatic Baler and the F5-560 Plus (25 Knife Chopper) Fully-Automatic Film Binding Baler.
In addition, McHale will present its new heavy-duty ProPel range of tedders: the M6-770 (6 rotors with a working width of 7.7m), the T8-1020 (8 rotors with a working width of 10.2m) and the T10-1260 (10 rotors with a working width of 12.6m).
Case IH (Stand B19) will debut the refreshed Farmhall C, its popular front loader tractor whose initial iteration rolled out back in 1923. With a new six-post cab and a repositioned exhaust for superior visibility, the Farhmall C also features increased hydraulic pump capacity for faster loader cycle times.
An enhanced Active Drive 2 (24x24) transmission with the newly introduced ActiveClutch allows the tractor to be held on the brake pedal without requiring the clutch. Other Case IH products that will be displayed include the hugely popular Puma 260 and the Maxxum 150.
Three of the four products KME Agri (Stand B28) will display at Punchestown are new to the market. The Umbilical Pump System with Bauer SX1000 Pump comes equipped with a Lazy Arm and features a return to tank valve, a large sanitary trap, high-quality 6” indicated knife values and a preload sponge ball launch port with a non-return valve.
In addition, the Compressor Pump Station Convey Unit and 10.5m Proglide+ Trailing Shoe with Double Macerator (which permits section control) will also be premiered. KME Agri will also have a 12-metre Dribble Bar on display next week.
For the first time in Ireland, Bredal’s K105XE-SC fertiliser spreader (pictured top), with an 11m3 capacity, will be exhibited at the show by Atkins (Stand C10). This machine can spread up to a 30-metre working width for lime, 40m for urea and 48m for fertiliser.
This is made possible by spread discs which fold out past the hopper and are 6m apart when in use. Featuring weight cells, section control and a till sensor, the K105XE-SC will garner considerable exhibitor attention.
Malone FM (Stand F21) will premiere its Procut 300 Front Plain (FP) Mower at FTMTA ‘24. Available at 3m wide, the Malone Procut 300FP is a user-friendly, heavy duty and robust machine designed for long life, featuring quick-fit blades, a drive shield module and Kennfixx quick-release hydraulic grips, among its durable components.
Malone will also have its recently launched ProLive 610 rake on display next week. This twin motor rake follows the contours of a field’s surface efficiently, using the weight of the rotors on the ground and a single-acting ram in the flotation position.
This year’s Farm Machinery Show is open from 10am to 6pm on Tuesday, 10am to 8pm on Wednesday, and from 10am to 6pm on Thursday. Tickets can be purchased online at ftmta.ie.
