Here is a selection of people starting new roles with Petit Forestier, Oxfam Ireland, Interpath Advisory, Esri Ireland, Aviva Insurance Ireland and Vault365.
Anthony O’Donnell has been appointed as general manager for refrigeration company Petit Forestier, leading its operations across the island of Ireland. This move comes on the heels of unprecedented growth for the company in 2023. Tony joined Petit Forestier in 2022 with a robust background in account management and commercial vehicle sales. Starting as an adept business development manager, he has rapidly ascended through the ranks. He will now run the overall day-to-day management of the business in Ireland. In this capacity, Tony will spearhead efforts to propel the company toward even greater local growth, working closely with Neale Brothwood, managing director.
Bríd McGrath director of public affairs with Oxfam Ireland, a new role bringing together the charity’s policy and advocacy and campaigns and communications teams into a new unit. Bríd has experience in the NGO sector and within government. Her prior roles included head of public policy for Respond Housing, and head of communications for Amnesty Ireland. She was also a special adviser to Eamon Ryan, then Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, working on the Africa desk and in Irish Aid in the Department of Foreign Affairs. She worked for the United Nations in Rome and recently returned from Chile with her family.
Andy Tallon has joined financial services firm Interpath Advisory as a managing director in the firm’s debt advisory team, notably real estate transactions. Andy brings broad European experience having worked in London for seven years. He previously established CBRE’s capital advisory business in Ireland. He is experienced in raising and structuring debt for some of the largest global investors in real estate. He has also completed several loan sale transactions for institutional clients where the security pool has had a strong real estate focus. Also joining Interpath is Simon Clarke, who has been appointed as associate director in the firm’s valuations team.
Tony Wade has been appointed as customer success manager with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialist Esri Ireland. He brings over two decades of technical and customer experience to the role. He joined Esri in 2014 and was most recently its lead GIS consultant. Prior to this, Tony spent six years with CRH in technical maintenance roles. He also worked in technical departments in the semiconductor industry. Tony holds a degree in Geography and History, as well as an MSc in GIS and Remote Sensing, both from Maynooth University. He also holds an ArcGIS Enterprise Associate certificate from Esri Academy and is Prince2 certified.
Joanie Hughes has joined Aviva Insurance Ireland as managing director and chief underwriting officer, Personal Lines, the consumer businesses of the company. She was previously CEO of FNZ Europe and prior to that Joanie held a number of senior roles from 2013-18 with Bank of Ireland (head of transformation, MD of insurance services and retail lead for strategic partnerships, and a senior manager for mortgages) and in previous roles with Aviva from 2012-13. She has a breadth of experience across the banking, technology, wealth, and insurance industries spanning over two decades. She studied Science, Maths, Statistics and Biochemistry in UCD.
Mike Basile has been appointed as channel manager for the UK and Ireland with Vault365, a provider of data protection services. The Irish company has now rolled out its services in the UK market. Mike will manage relationships with partners who deliver Vault365’s data protection and backup services to customers in the UK and Ireland. He will also focus on evolving the relationships with existing customers. Prior to joining Vault365, Mike was product manager with business messaging provider Cadoo, leading the design of new products across iOS and Android apps, as well as web messaging. Mike holds a postgrad diploma in Computing from TUD.
