Catherine Guy, CEO of NiftiBusiness, has joined the board of Bord na Móna, which now has now has 60% female representation. She has overseen the growth of leasing and fleet management business NiftiBusiness since 2021. She also brings 28 years of experience in private legal practice, including her tenure as managing partner of ByrneWallace law firm in Dublin, 2012-18. In addition to her legal expertise, she is a qualified chartered director with the Institute of Directors. Since 2020, she has been on the board of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and is also currently on the board of Children's Health Ireland (CHI).
Alan Vallely has been appointed as general manager of five-star Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort, joining from his most recent role as deputy general manager at The K Club, Co. Kildare. Alan has over 18 years’ of experience within the hospitality industry, with a range of five-star resort experience both nationally and internationally. Originally from Dublin, prior to his role at The K Club Alan also gained extensive experience in senior level positions in hotels including The Four Seasons, Ashford Castle and Mount Juliet Estate. “I am delighted to join the Neville Family and the team at Druids Glen,” said Alan.
Sarah Bogossian has joined alternatives investment specialist Elkstone as venture partner. She brings two decades of experience in growth strategy, funding for scale and M&A to the role. She was a corporate finance director in investment banking at Goodbody Stockbrokers, focused on the technology and video gaming sectors. She was also previously corporate finance director at EY, working with high growth companies across Ireland and Europe. Sarah holds a BA in Business and Economics from TCD, an MBA in International Marketing from UCD, a Masters in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA). She joins a team supporting founders in their growth journey.
Sanjay Patel has been appointed as chief operating officer at foodservice firm Compass Group Ireland. He initially joined in 2013 as head of operations, and rejoins after seven years with ISS Facility Services. He brings 30 years’ experience in catering, facilities management and technical services. He has held roles with Royal Festival Hall, Wembley Stadium, Lord’s and The Oval cricket grounds, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal football clubs, and Ascot and Newmarket racecourses. He has worked in airline catering with Caterair, and managed high street brands and facilities with Granada Motorway Services. In Ireland, he worked with Katesan Naas, Alpha Airports facilities and Aramark.
Lorraine Ivory-Corr has been appointed as senior broker consultant with life insurance and pensions firm Royal London Ireland. She brings more than 30 years of experience across financial services in key roles with Aviva (previously Friends First) and with Bank of Ireland. Lorraine holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Planning and Services from UCD and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). In her new role, she will be foster Royal London Ireland’s broker relationships across the Southwest and Southeast of the country, including Cork, Waterford, and Wexford. Her focus will be on delivering tailored support and guidance to brokers on pensions and protection products.
Eamon Brabazon has been promoted to co-head of global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with Bank of America, along with Ivan Farman. From Dublin, Eamon is based in London. He joined the bank in 2015. He was most recently head of EMEA M&A, advising on high-profile transactions. Eamon has been voted European sell-side advisor of the year by Financial News and has completed more sell-sides than any other European banker in the last five years. He spent 15+ years at JP Morgan in senior M&A roles. He holds a BComm and Master of Accountancy from UCD. He is a fellow of ICA and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
