The Lighthouse

"The clean lines and textures of the stone caught my eye, the location at the end of the pier isolated the building from any intrusive background. I captured the shot and converted the image to black and white to bring out the textures even more."

"My intention for my trip to Ardmore was to photograph the landmarks in the area. I took several shots when the sun started to come out and a young lady who was walking decided to cut across the corn field. This was how the image came about.  "

"This bridge has a very significant part of the city's industrial heritage. Clontarf Bridge is an example of reduce reuse repurposed, providing a safe passage for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians while bridging to the earliest mechanized transport in Ireland. I enjoy capturing our ever-changing relationship where the coast and mankind meet."
